A couple of months ago the second season of Silo wrapped up its story. This mysterious show on Apple TV+ continued an enthralling story about people living in a giant silo sometime in the future. They can’t go outside and, of course, everyone has a lot of questions. With the second season now in the books, I wanted to look back at it (and a bit on season 1) and share my thoughts.

SPOILER ALERT: I’m going to talk openly about many plot points for both Silo season 1 and 2. If you haven’t watched it or don’t want to know the revelations, you should stop reading now.

The second season picked up right where the first left off, which is something I love. Not every series can do this, but it is becoming a bit more common these days as shows get more time, budget, and creative choice to thread the needle across seasons.

When we see Juliet make it past that main hill in the final moments of season 1, walking toward territory nobody has seen before, it’s gripping. It was finally the answer the main question: what is out there and is it safe or not? Episode 1 of the new season gets right to it and shows us an immense amount of other silos exist and a ton of bodies litter the ground outside.
